About this experience

Shadow Dr. Wright through a 6-hour shift in the emergency department. You will observe patient assessments, watch procedures such as suturing and IV placement from a safe distance, and have a debrief conversation about the cases seen. James will explain how emergency physicians make rapid decisions and what distinguishes great EM doctors from good ones.

Safety information

Medical environment. Closed-toe shoes and long trousers required. No photography of patients or screens. Confidentiality agreement required. Students must be comfortable with medical procedures and blood.
